Who cares about a match point? My worth is $10 million. TOMIC

If you want to teach to your child what not to do in tennis, Bernard Tomic is a bright example. The Australian no.2 has been failed to impress tennis fans many times with this behavior on and off court.

Tomic has often tanked matches; at the beginning of the year in Sydney he had a quirky discussion with the chair umpire to bluntly say he didn’t care about the tournament and retire in the quarterfinal citing … whatever. That was a huge disappointment for the home crowd that went there to see “their player”, but he really didn’t care about that. Yesterday, in Madrid, Tomic made it extremely clear that he didn’t care at all about the tournament to pretend to return the match point he was facing against Fognini with the handle of the racket.

Tomic. Would you care if your worth is $10 million?

Tomic didn’t finish to disappoint when, during an interview about the “match point incident”, he replied to Gold Coast Bulletin journalist Ryan Keen “I don’t care about that match point – would you care if you were 23 and worth over $10 million”

Is Tennis Australia sure that it wants to be represented by this sort of “athlete”?
