This is not a great moment for Grigor Dimitrov. The Bulgarian star struggles in the opener in Istanbul to beat the world no.194 Adrian Ungur 7-5 4-6 7-5 in 2 hours and 14 minutes.
Grigor had to rally from a 1-3 deficit in the opening set to win 7-5. Then, the Bulgarian squandered a one break-up lead in the second set to win the encounter only at the decider.
Grigor will play Jiri Vesely in the 2nd round. He needs to play much better if he wants to reach the semifinal.
