Ranked world no.23 (career-high), the Australian played his last match on the 12th of August when he defeated world no.6 Andrey Rublev 6-2 6-4 in the final in Montreal to win his 3rd career title.
Until now, during this year Popyrin has achieved an overall 22-15 win-loss record. Alexei conquered 1 title in Montreal.
He is also scheduled to play at the U.S. Open (U.S. Open). The main draw will start on the 26th of August.
Jessica Pegula in 2024
Currently the world no.6, Jessica played her last match on the 12th of August when she defeated world no.49 Amanda Anisimova 6-3 2-6 6-1 in the final in Toronto to win her 7th career title.
At the moment, during this season Pegula has achieved a 26-10 match record. Jessica conquered 2 titles in 2024 in Berlin and Toronto.
