The US Open is set to offer the largest prize money in tennis history for its 2024 edition, with the total prize pool seeing a significant increase from last year. The overall pot has risen by 15%, surpassing $65 million, marking a new high in the tournament’s history.
For the first time, players who exit in the first round of the singles draw will receive $100,000, nearly $20,000 more than in 2023. This generous increase underscores the US Open’s commitment to rewarding participants across all stages of the competition.
In the doubles competitions, both men’s and women’s draws will see a 9% rise in prize money, with the champions set to share $750,000. Meanwhile, the mixed doubles prize pool has been boosted by 18%, although the winners will earn the same amount as those who lose in the first round of the singles draw.

The main draw of the US Open will commence on Monday, August 26, with the qualifying rounds beginning a week earlier, on Monday, August 19. This year’s tournament promises to be particularly competitive, with top players like Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Novak Djokovic all vying for the record-breaking prize money.
Sinner in Montreal, ranking, and results in 2024
Now the world no.1, the Italian owns a composed 43-4 win-loss record in 2024. Jannik is now competing in Montreal where he ousted Unknown Player bye and the world no.94 Borna Coric 6-2 6-4.
Jannik Sinner will square off with the world no.21 Alejandro Tabilo in the 3rd round on Friday at 5:00 pm on COURT CENTRAL. They have never played each other till now in top tournaments.
The Italian has won 4 titles in 2024 at the Australian Open, Rotterdam, Miami and Halle.

Ranked no.2, Djokovic played his last match on the 4th of August when he overcame world no.3 Carlos Alcaraz 7-6(3) 7-6(2) in the final in Paris to win his 99th career title.
This season the Serbian has managed to achieve a compiled 29-7 match record. Djokovic conquered 1 title in Paris. Djokovic was the finalist in Wimbledon.
Djokovic has scheduled to play next in Cincinnati (Western & Southern Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 12th of August.
