The US Open is set to offer the largest prize money in tennis history for its 2024 edition, with the total prize pool seeing a significant increase from last year. The overall pot has risen by 15%, surpassing $65 million, marking a new high in the tournament’s history.

For the first time, players who exit in the first round of the singles draw will receive $100,000, nearly $20,000 more than in 2023. This generous increase underscores the US Open’s commitment to rewarding participants across all stages of the competition.

In the doubles competitions, both men’s and women’s draws will see a 9% rise in prize money, with the champions set to share $750,000. Meanwhile, the mixed doubles prize pool has been boosted by 18%, although the winners will earn the same amount as those who lose in the first round of the singles draw.

The main draw of the US Open will commence on Monday, August 26, with the qualifying rounds beginning a week earlier, on Monday, August 19. This year’s tournament promises to be particularly competitive, with top players like Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Novak Djokovic all vying for the record-breaking prize money.
