Following his defeat in the Olympics in Paris, UK tennis legend Andy Murray announced his official retirement from the game on Thursday, capping an incredible but injury-plagued career.
As his trophy-filled career came to an emotional end at the Paris Olympics on Thursday, Murray announced that he was retiring on his terms, closing a chapter in the history of tennis’ golden age.
At the age of 37, the former world number one and three-time Grand Slam champion retired after losing in the men’s doubles quarterfinal at Roland Garros.
