In the “Behind the Design – Episode 1: Embracing Change” YouTube video, tennis champion Roger Federer discusses his experiences with Wilson rackets and how he has embraced change throughout his career.

Federer began using Wilson rackets as his heroes did and continued to use them as he progressed to the junior tour. He felt comfortable with the 85 racket but eventually believed it was too small for his needs. He experimented with a larger 90 racket and found it to be a natural evolution. In 2013, after injuring his back, Federer sought out a bigger racket, leading to the development of the RF97, which he used until recently.

When recovering from knee problems, Federer was looking for a racket with more head speed on the forehand side to improve his game. Throughout his career, Federer has dared to make changes proactively, not out of panic.
