Andy Murray might be giving up tennis and shifting to reality television. The tennis legend announced his retirement yesterday after losing in the men’s doubles quarterfinal of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Murray, teamed with Dan Evans, was defeated by Tommy Paul and Taylor Fritz of the United States. Before the match on Wednesday, Murray’s Twitter bio stated, “I play tennis.” However, after he and Evans lost, the two-time Wimbledon champion modified it to read, “I played tennis.”

After two Wimbledon titles, one US Open title, and two gold medals from the Olympics, Murray is calling it a career. However, managers from The Great British Bake Off immediately grabbed him and said they wanted to get him inside the tent. The Great British Bake Off has extended an invitation to Murray to participate.

They asked Murray on X: “Have you tried baking?”

Fans appeared to agree, with one writing: “I could totally see him doing Stand Up To Cancer.”

Another one added: “OMG, he would be amazing!!!!”

Speaking after his final match, Murray said: “It felt good. I knew that moment was coming for the last few months. If it didn’t happen today, that was going to happen in a couple of days, and I was ready for it. Obviously, I was emotional because it was the last time, I would play a competitive match. But I am genuinely happy just now. I’m happy with how it’s finished. I’m glad that I got to go out here at the Olympics and finish on my terms because, at times in the last few years, that wasn’t a certainty. I gave a lot to it physically, which I’m paying a little bit for now.”
