Launched at a hotel in Cheshire, a £400,000 padel club aims to become a renowned destination for players of all ability levels. The Hook Club, situated on the immaculate grounds of the Mottram Hall Hotel, was opened for business on July 25. The business who designed and erected it is called UK Padel Courts. Dubbed after the padel shot “El Gancho,” The Hook Club features three Superpanoramic padel courts designed by Padelgest, a Spanish business that produced the first courts used in the World Padel Tour. The playing facilities are complemented by a fully licensed clubhouse with a heated patio area, an integrated sound system, and a furnished change space.

Jon Cain is joining the team as the coach coordinator. Accompanying him are club padel manager Joanne Patterson, along with pros Sam Brown and Mike Rouse. The Hook Club is the first location for The Padel Group. According to director Morgan Davies: “Our main goal was to establish a padel club that provides players with an unparalleled experience. “To make The Hook Club stand out on the UK padel scene, we have put a lot of money into this project. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished at Champneys Mottram Hall’s stunning environs. “Padel is a sport that’s here to stay and we have created a fantastic environment for players of all abilities to play padel and socialise.”
