French tennis champion Richard Gasquet recently expressed his admiration for Jannik Sinner, the 2024 Australian Open champion, in an interview with Corriere di Verona. Gasquet, who participated in the Challenger of Verona, highlighted Sinner’s exceptional technical prowess and comprehensive skill set.

“The impressive thing about Sinner is that he has everything. When you trade, you are facing a great straight and a great backhand, so you have no break. He is the best technically,” Gasquet explained.

He emphasized the precision of Sinner’s movements, stating, “I think everything comes from the cleanliness of his technical gesture. Sinner knows how to use the body coming forward, bending his legs and hitting the ball well. To generate that power is the perfection in the movements.”

Despite his on-court success, Sinner has faced criticism recently due to his relationship with fellow tennis player Anna Kalinskaya. Svetlana Kuznetsova, a former WTA star, commented on the scrutiny Sinner has faced, noting,

“It was obvious that Anna Kalinskaya would be blamed for Jannik Sinner’s inability to participate in the Olympic Games.” Kuznetsova dismissed the unfounded accusations, highlighting the irrationality of blaming personal relationships for professional setbacks.
