Federer outlines his plans for the clay court season

Roger Federer is not a happy man right now; the Swiss has lost a terrible match against Tsonga in the Monte Carlo quarters when he had a decent shot at winning the tournament after Djokovic crashed out. Now it’s time for Roger to understand what he wants to do with the rest of the clay court season.

Roger’s plan

Roger is listed to play in Madrid and Rome, but he is still not sure if he will compete in both tournaments. During an interview after his match against Tsonga, Roger commented “I definitely won’t play the next couple of weeks; and Madrid? I’ll decide probably 10 days from now. Rome? I’ll decide probably in 15 days from now.”

Roger wants to avoid to incur the risk of rushing and undergo another operation “I guess it depends what the diagnosis is of the doctor. I think it’s always the beginning of the end, surgery. I still believe that. If I can avoid it, I will always avoid it. Would I have surgery for fun? Not me anyway. I don’t see one funny bit about it.”

Our guess? Roger cannot resist playing in Madrid where he has a shot at the title. He will not play rome if he will go deep in Spain.

Game on!
