Alcaraz on playing with Nadal: “I am not used to play doubles”

As he advanced to the third round of the Paris Olympics on Monday, Carlos Alcaraz continued his scorching form, winning 6-1, 7-6(3).

After defeating Tallon Griekspoor 6-1, 7-6(3) on Monday, Carlos Alcaraz continued his blazing form and advanced to the third round of the Paris Olympics.

The Spanish player, who is 35-6 this season and has won major trophies at Wimbledon and Roland Garros this year, has now won 17 of his last 18 games. To advance to the quarterfinals, he will next face Roman Safiullin. Rafael Nadal will be his partner in the second round of the doubles on Tuesday.

Argentine duo Andres Molteni and Maximo Gonzalez gave Nadal and Alcaraz a hard battle in the opening round, but they prevailed 7-6(4), 6-4.

Alcaraz talked about it and said: “I’m not used to playing doubles. I’m used to focusing just on singles, but it’s a really special moment for me playing doubles as well. I love playing doubles. So the preparations could be tricky a little bit with the singles, with the practice, doubles. But I’m trying to play my best on both sides.”
