Greg Rusedski, who urged for patience as Emma Raducanu battled her way back after a lengthy break, stated that the former US Open champion’s ranking could only go higher.
Raducanu made headlines when she announced she would not compete at the Paris Games, citing her desire to concentrate on her long-term health and the North American hard-court season. She had several great victories during the grass-court season.
After missing the second half of the 2023 season due to surgery, Raducanu began the 2024 season outside the top 300. However, in the last few months, he has made some significant progress.
After making it to the Nottingham Open semifinal, she dropped back into the top 200. Her run to the Wimbledon final 16 then saw her break into the top 100.
Rusedski expressed his remarks about Raducanu: “I think we’ve got to protect Emma because she’s on the way back right now. Great signs, and I think if she keeps on having consistent work and a consistent team, she’ll hopefully get back into the top 10. And that’s the ambition. If she can stay healthy for the next six months to a year, the rankings are only going to go one direction, and that’s upwards.”

Currently, during this year Raducanu achieved an overall 16-10 record. Emma Raducanu’s best performance of this season was getting to the semifinal in Nottingham.
