Bad bad news from Alexander Zverev‘s camp in Halle.
The German sensation had a good start of his campaign in Germany after he defeated Robin Haase 6-4 7-5. However, the world no.5 had to withdraw from playing the doubles with his brother Mischa because of a knee injury.
According to reports, the German was seen limping in the morning with a tape on his knee.
Sascha is meant to face Steve Johnson in the 2nd round.

Alexander Zverev has bandaged his thigh and calf, probably won’t participate at the doubles match against Struff/McLachlan. ☹️ https://t.co/8JLzg0Thnt

Big fall from Zverev in Halle. Boy he’s flexible because that right knee twist in slow mow looked bad. Had the trainer out for a bleeding left knee. Looks fine now.

A set up but a break down, Alexander #Zverev takes a spill on the grass.
He’s quickly surrounded by concerned officials/ballkids & his opponent Robin #Haase. He’s bloodied his knee but let’s hope it’s no worse.
