Together with fellow countryman LeBron, the current US Open champion wore a white jacket and a unique scarf to represent their nation. Later, she sent an emotional post on her official social media account.
Gauff captured moments when she raised her nation’s flag in a series of photos she posted to Instagram. Gauff’s boyfriend commented on her post with the words “Captain Co.” in an attempt to show his appreciation for the young talent’s most prestigious distinction. The world No. 1 has never publicly disclosed the identity of her relationship partner, for those who are unaware.
Tennis fans speculate that it could be Jalen Sera, an aspiring musician from Atlanta, her birthplace. Regarding her mysterious boyfriend, the tennis player has previously made small clues and comments. In an interview, Gauff disclosed in April that she and he are in a committed long-term relationship, calling it her first true partnership.
