Rafael Nadal’s participation in the singles competition at the Paris Olympics is in jeopardy due to a thigh injury. Carlos Moya, Nadal’s coach, revealed that the tennis star experienced a setback during practice yesterday, exacerbating his existing thigh problem.
“I can’t assure you Nadal will play,” Moya said, indicating the uncertainty surrounding Nadal’s ability to compete.
Moya emphasized the need for caution, stating, “Today it was decided to rest to give him more time to recover from the setback that occurred yesterday. Let’s see if he can be ready tomorrow.”
Given the importance of the event, Moya added, “The most responsible thing right now with an event of this magnitude is not to force it.”
This development casts doubt on Nadal’s participation, leaving fans and the tennis community awaiting further updates on his condition.
