Jannik Sinner’s Olympic Games campaign has been called into question amidst rumours that he has postponed his trip to Paris owing to illness. In what will be Sinner’s first Olympic Games, he is projected to be the top seed in the men’s singles draw in Paris 2024.

According to reports, the Italian was scheduled to travel to Paris today. Other Italian citizens who shared their trip to the French capital on social media included Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani.

Many players have already arrived in the city. For example, Iga Swiatek was training at Roland Garros, and Carlos Alcaraz, Sinner’s chief rival, was seen in the Olympic Village with Rafael Nadal. However, the 22-year-old is said to have delayed his arrival at the Olympic venue because of a fever.

According to reports in the Italian press, Sinner will instead go to Paris on Thursday, arriving barely one night before the opening ceremony and two nights before the start of the men’s singles competition at Roland Garros.
