Rafael Nadal didn’t have his best run in the USA, but the King of Clay is still happy with his results in Indian Wells and Miami.

Nadal had good tournament in the desert to reach the semi-final after beating Nishikori in the quarters. Eventually, his run ended after losing to Djokovic in the final 4. In Miami things got worse after Nadal retired in the first match when he was losing 2-6 6-4 3-0 to Damir Dzumhur.

What happened in the USA

During a recent interview, Rafa commented “In Indian Wells, I played at a very high level and with confidence, and after that [in Miami] I could not give continuity, I was dehydrated.”

Then he added “If the health is fine in a couple of days and nothing is there, I will be ready in a couple of days and I hope to be ready for the clay,”

Rafa is about to start his campaign in Monte Carlo where he won the title 8 times. It has been almost two years since Rafa hasn’t won a Master1000 (Madrid 2014). Time to end this.

STILL HAPPY
