Bad news for Tomas Berdych after his name appeared in the “Panama Papers”.
What happened?
There are more than 11 million documents dating back for 4 decades showing that a firm in Panama (“Mossack Fonseca“) helped establish secret shell companies and offshore accounts for global power players.
Many big names are involved in the scandal and, according to Radio Prague, Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka asked the local tax authorities to launch a full investigation into the activities of about 300 Czech and apparently Tomas Berdych is part of them.
All names of the ‘Panama Papers’ are accused of using offshore companies to avoid paying taxes.
Let’s hope that Tomas will come out clean from this mess.
