The arrival of Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz at the Olympic Village ahead of the Paris Games has created a great deal of excitement, with participants lining up to see the Spanish pair.
In addition to pursuing his second gold medal in singles, the 22-time Grand Slam champion is forming a formidable pair with Alcaraz to attempt his second men’s doubles Olympic gold medal.
For the renowned event, the 38-year-old will finally return to Roland Garros, his favourite place. Nadal and Alcaraz have chosen to remain in the Olympic Village for their campaigns, choosing to take part in the customs of their fellow competitors.
When the Spanish pair arrived in the town, players from all over the world showed how excited they were to meet the tennis stars, showing how well-liked they were among their peers.
Everyone wanted to get their photo taken with Nadal and Alcaraz, from 16-year-old Egyptian table tennis player Hana Goda to Malaysian badminton sensation Thinaah Muralitharan and Chilean table tennis player Maria Paulina Vega.
