Vika Azarenka is on her way to reclaim the no.1  ranking. The Belarusian is back to her top form to be the player to beat on the circuit. Vika has just won the “Sunshine double” (Indian Wells and Miami) and starting from next week she will lead the “Road to Singapore” rankings. The last player to win Indian Wells and Miami back to back was Kim Clijsters in 2005. This is Vika’s 20

th career title, the 3rd of this year.

 

Azarenka didn’t struggle much in defeating Svetlana Kuznetsova in the Miami final. The Belarussian won the opening set 6-3 after breaking her opponent 5 times. In the second set, Vika got a decisive 4-1 lead to finally wrap up the match after 87 minutes (6-3 6-2).
