Dan Evans believes that because Novak Djokovic doesn’t seem to be enjoying the pinnacle of his illustrious career, so he should be treated differently.

The Serbian champion has considerably dropped since last year and has not won any titles in 2024. The former world number one, who advanced to the Wimbledon final and won three Slams in 2023, appears to have lost drive after a series of unanticipated setbacks in recent months.

The 37-year-old hoped to capture his 25th Major and eighth Wimbledon Championship title, but Carlos Alcaraz outplayed him in the final, winning three sets to seal the victory. Nole expressed uncertainty about his future during the news conference held after the game, acknowledging that he is still at a different level than Sinner and Alcaraz.

The other players are aware that they cannot undervalue a legend such as Djokovic, despite his current struggles. Evans, a British tennis player, recently talked in an interview and said: “One of my best memories as a tennis player was training with Djokovic in Marbella before the season started. He is also a very polite guy; contrary to his villain image, his dedication at all times is the reason he is the best player we have ever seen. One day, we will all look back and finally appreciate how good Djokovic has been.”
