I Don't Want To Feel Like A Tennis Slave Carlos Alcaraz Opens Up On Trips To Ibiza And Necessary Breaks After Wimbledon Win

Carlos Alcaraz, the rising tennis star, has candidly expressed his views on maintaining a balance between his professional and personal life. Following his triumph at Wimbledon, Alcaraz emphasized the importance of taking breaks and enjoying time away from the sport.

“Well, I am very clear that in the end people also work for something. Not just speaking for myself, but in general. People work to allow themselves certain things and then enjoy them with their people,” Alcaraz said about his decision to vacation in Ibiza with his friends.

Despite his dedication to tennis, Alcaraz is keen on ensuring he does not become a “slave to tennis.” He believes it is essential to have personal time to avoid burnout and maintain his performance levels.

“I am here living a dream, for me it is crazy to be able to play these types of tournaments, to be able to win them, but I also want to have time for myself. I don’t want to feel like a slave to tennis and not have time for myself,” he remarked.

Alcaraz highlighted the significance of short getaways, stating, “Those little getaways to Ibiza, two or three nights with friends, to enjoy, to have time to rest, to have time for myself, I think it is fundamental and very necessary to then perform and come back to the court with batteries charged.”

The 21-year-old’s approach underscores the importance of balance for athletes at the highest level, ensuring that both their professional ambitions and personal well-being are addressed.
