Alcaraz's Coach Juan Carlos Ferrero Says Djokovic Was Outclassed

Carlos Alcaraz’s coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, provided a candid assessment of Novak Djokovic’s performance after his player’s recent triumph. Ferrero emphasized the importance of continuous growth in Alcaraz’s career, highlighting the need for sustained enthusiasm and motivation.

“Growth has to be there, we have to keep going. I think that now, at 21, you can’t stop growing. You have to keep growing and move forward, have that enthusiasm and motivation to go to each tournament to win,” Ferrero stated.

Ferrero also expressed surprise at Djokovic’s level of play, noting that the Serbian struggled to match Alcaraz’s pace. “I was a little surprised by Djokovic’s level today. I think he felt outclassed from the start. It was hard for him to keep up with Carlos’ pace and ball speed. It’s true that last year he was better, maybe this year, not being at 100%, it was a little harder for him,” he added.

Ferrero’s comments underscore the exceptional performance of Alcaraz and suggest a shift in the competitive landscape of tennis, where emerging talents like Alcaraz are increasingly challenging established champions.
