Tennis Canada has announced the qualifying entry list for the 2024 National Bank Open presented by Rogers. The qualifying rounds are scheduled to begin during the 407 ETR Family Weekend at Sobeys Stadium on Sunday, August 4, and Monday, August 5.

The list boasts three Grand Slam champions: Sloane Stephens, the 2017 US Open winner, Sofia Kenin, the 2020 Australian Open champion, both from the United States, and Emma Raducanu, the 2021 US Open victor from Great Britain. Additionally, Karolina Pliskova of Czechia, a former World No. 1 and two-time Grand Slam finalist, is set to be the top-ranked player in the qualifying list.

Karl Hale, Tournament Director for NBO Toronto, highlighted the depth of talent in the WTA Tour, stating, “It’s a testament to the strength-in-depth of the WTA Tour and the women’s game that we’re able to confirm such a strong qualifying list for this year’s National Bank Open presented by Rogers. We look forward to welcoming all of the players to Toronto next month, and we know it will be a fierce competition to see who will claim the all-important places in the main draw.”

Due to the Paris 2024 Olympics, the NBO will start and end one day later than usual this year, with qualifying beginning on Sunday, August 4, and the main draw starting on Tuesday, August 6. The singles and doubles finals will take place on Monday, August 12.

Three qualifying wild cards, to be allocated to Canadians, will be announced soon by the National Bank Open. An additional wild card will be awarded to the winner of the pre-qualifying draw from July 30 to August 2 at Sobeys Stadium. The qualifying entry list for the National Bank Open in Montreal will be confirmed on Thursday, July 18.

Complete details regarding the on-site activities for fans during the 407 ETR Family Weekend in Toronto will be announced next week.
