Stefanos Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud will represent Team Europe in the forthcoming Laver Cup Berlin 2024, which will be held at Uber Arena on September 20–22.
Ruud has competed for Team Europe four times, having won three times already: in Boston in 2021, London in 2022, and Vancouver in 2023. Tsitsipas will also be making his fourth appearance for Team Europe. He accompanied Ruud to Boston and London as a teammate, and he made his Laver Cup debut in Geneva in 2019.
Bjorn Borg talked about both players’ inclusion in Team Europe and said: “Casper and Stefanos are experienced Laver Cup players who know what it takes to win points. They have been part of some intense battles and have raised the Cup in the past. I am happy to have them on the team.”
Ruud expressed his remarks about it and said: “It is a privilege to be part of this outstanding team and return for another shot at the title in Berlin. We have unfinished business.”
Meanwhile, Tsitsipas also talked about the inclusion in the Laver Cup and said: “I’m excited to be playing the Laver Cup again. It is an honour to be part of this team and to compete alongside so many great players.”
