Serena Williams is really struggling in 2016. The world no.1 hasn’t won a single tournament this season and she is starting to look a bit less confident about her tennis.
In Miami Serena has fallen to Svetlana Kuznetsova in 3 sets in the 4th round. After winning the 1st set at the breaker, Serena disappeared in the 2nd and 3rd set to lose 6-7 (3) 6-1 6-2.
Kuznetsova takes out Serena Williams 6-7(3) 61 62. Somedays, Svetlana plays great. Other times, well, so so. This time, Sveta was on fire

Kuznetsova
After the match Svetlana commented “I’m really thrilled. I’m sorry, fans who are disappointed that Serena’s not going to keep playing, but for sure she’ll be at more events than here.
“I’m really happy with my performance; I tried to stay at a good level the whole game, put as many balls back. I think I did that pretty well and I’m happy with the way I served today.”
Serena
The American didn’t seem as sharp as she usually is to comment “I don’t think it’s appropriate to criticize my movement right now,” she replied to reporters. “I did the best that I could. I can’t win every match.”Serena was bidding for her 9th title in Miami, but that is not going to happen this year.
Svetlana will play Makarova in the next round.
