After previous crazy dating rumours that took a lot of people off guard, journalists faced criticism once more for asking Carlos Alcaraz about Emma Raducanu’s attendance at the Wimbledon final in a weird manner.

Alcaraz became victorious over Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon Championship final of 2024. The media, however, questioned him about Raducanu—who was spotted in the box and was only there to support Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales—when she gave Alcaraz the men’s trophy.

In response to a question regarding relationship rumors posed by a journalist during the press conference, Alcaraz implied that she was likely there to watch the match.

When further inquired as to why Raducanu would have desired to attend, Alcaraz replied: “I don’t know. I guess a lot of people came to see the final. Novak and I always play a spectacular match; it’s a beautiful match to see. And she is from here, so I imagine that she wanted to come and see it. If there was a Grand Slam in Murcia, I would watch the finals 100%. I don’t know if she came to the finals or if she came to see me. Who knows? You have to question her, but I hope she enjoyed the final.”
