On Wednesday, Emma Raducanu took a break from Wimbledon to have lunch in London with fellow tennis player Francesca Jones.
The tennis player and her companion appeared to be having a great time catching up over an outdoor meal. Emma wore a bright red T-shirt, matching sneakers, and dark blue trousers, giving her a carefree look for the day. The athlete accessorized her look with sunglasses and a white sweatshirt thrown over her shoulders.
Fran also went for a carefree style, dressing in white sneakers, navy denim, and a baby blue pullover. While Emma and Fran took a stroll, she was observed looking at her phone and smiling for pictures with onlookers.
The revelation occurred a few days after Emma was subjected to abuse on social media by trolls who called her a serial choker after she was defeated on Sunday in her Wimbledon fourth-round match.
In a thrilling three-set match on Center Court, qualifier Lulu Sun from New Zealand defeated the 21-year-old 6-2, 5-7, 6-2.
However, her performance did not impress social media trolls, who labelled her a ‘one-hit wonder’. She also faced criticism for abandoning her match against Andy Murray in order to prioritize singles.
Emma, however, reiterated her decision to withdraw from the mixed doubles, stating that she needed to prioritize her own needs.
