Kyrgios, Tomic will not play the Olympics if they misbehave

Nick Kyrgios and Bernard Tomic are not well-known for being easy characters. After stirring up so much controversy over the last few years, recently they even managed to have a huge fight with each other after Bernard’s allegations of Kyrgios faking an illness to avoid playing the Davis Cup.

Why Kyrgios and Tomic need to be careful

Tennis Australia has been trying for years to manage them, and now it’s time for Australia’s Olympic chef de mission Kitty Chiller to make a move.

Chiller warned Tennis Australia that bad behavior will not be tolerated in Rio de Janeiro “When push comes to shove, I won’t be afraid to discipline someone if they are not adhering to the standard we expect,” she commented.

“I will be sending people home if they don’t respect what they are part of. It’s not just tennis, but some of the values are not what I would want our Olympians to exhibit. How we operate off the field is just as important as what we do on the field. I want an Australian team that Australia is proud of.

“Australians are very forgiving if we come fifth or sixth or seventh if we go and try our guts out and do it in the right way with our heads held high.”

We can’t disagree with that. Can we?

COME ONE! TIME TO BEHAVE!
