Andy Murray and Jamie Murray faced tough opposition despite their willingness to accept their significant limitations, and in the final moments of play on Centre Court, they lost 7-6 (6), 6-4 to Rinky Hijikata and John Peers. This was the first time in Andy and Jamie’s careers that they had competed on the same side of the net at Wimbledon, marking the start of Andy’s emotional farewell to the tournament after 19 incredible years.
This was an occasion to honour one of the greatest athletes in British history at a competition he had won twice before his impending retirement.
Following the match, the All England Club honoured one of its legendary champions with the entry of several current players and past champions onto the court, including John McEnroe, Tim Henman, Martina Navratilova, Iga Swiatek, and Novak Djokovic.
After the match, Murray’s farewell put everyone in tears and everyone got swayed with emotions.

Currently ranked no.113, the Brit played his last match on the 19th of June when he had to retire when playing against world no.40 Jordan Thompson in the 2nd round and the scoreline was 4-1 .
This season Murray has managed to achieve a 7-13 record.
