Murray upset by Delbonis

Andy Murray wasn’t well prepared for this Indian Wells The world no.2 wasn’t at his very best already in his opener with Granollers when he struggled a bit too much to down the Spaniard 6-4 7-6 (3).

In the 3rd round the Scott wasn’t able to overcome world no.53 Federico Delbonis to lose 6-4 4-6 7-6 (3).

This is Delbonis’ 2nd big win of his career after he defeated (an injured) Roger Federer in 2013. “I have a couple of big wins, but in this situation it was special,” Delbonis commented. “For that tournament, for that surface (he is a clay court player), for me it is the best win.”

Delbonis will play either Monfils or Ramos-Vinolas in the 4th round.
