Before aiming to take out British wildcard Jacob Fearnley, Novak Djokovic may try to take some snooker lessons from the great Ronnie O’Sullivan.

Yesterday at Centre Court, O’Sullivan, the snooker legend, saw Vit Kopriva lose 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 while he was watching from the Serbian box.

Djokovic made his comeback to the French Open after a damaged meniscus forced him to withdraw early last month. However, he may have to swap his green grass Wimbledon practice for the green baize of the snooker table with his new fan.

Djokovic recently talked about the snooker legend O’Sullivan and said: “I’m his fan. I watch snooker just because of him. I watched it when I was a kid. Honestly, I watched him play many years ago. My father loved watching snooker. I only watched Ronnie. Whenever he would not play, I would not watch. We just had a meet-up, an interaction for the first time. It was great.”

He added: “He was one of the sports greats I used to watch when I was a kid. It was really nice to have him around. Hopefully, we’ll be able to play some snooker, ’cause I’m really bad at snooker. I’m okay at pool or billiards, but snooker, I tried it twice, and it’s really, really tough.”
