Rafael Nadal has managed to win yet another French Open to make Paris is “exclusive domain.”
Tennis fans around the world are used to seeing the Roland Garros ending with Rafa holding the trophy as that happened 12 times over the last 3 years as only Roger Federer (2009), Stan Wawrinka (2015), and Novak Djokovic (2016) managed to “sneak in” after the King of Clay started his reign. Therefore, someone decided to make this habit a rule.
What about Wikipedia
Someone edited the French Open page changing the dates of the competition stating that the Roland Garros “is a major tennis tournament held over two weeks at the Stade Roland-Garros in Paris, France, beginning in late May and ending when Rafael Nadal kisses the trophy.”
Apparently, Rafa was added as the 2019 French Open champion even before he won the final.
Many agreed with the editing even if it was deleted. The only thing that people disagreed was that Rafa is not “kissing the trophy,” but he is biting it.
Things of the web.
