Difficult stuff for team Serbia that defeated Kazakhstan at the photo-finish (3-2).
After the first day the score-line was 1-all since Djokovic won an easy match over world no.200 Nedovyesov (6-1 6-2 6-3 ) and Kukushkin surprised Troicki 7-5 6-2 6-4.
Things got nasty for Nole & C. after Djokovic and Zimojic lost the doubles 6-3 7-6 (3) 7-5 against Goluben and Nedovyesov. That was 2-1 for Kazakhstan.
The Serbian team was in more trouble in the last day when Djokovic had to recover a 1-2 set deficit against an inspired Kukushkin. Eventually the world no.1 found his way to win 6-7 (6) 7-6 (3) 4-6 6-3 6-2. Apprantly Nole had to cope also with an injury to his shoulder.

Troicki had no problems in the decisive match against Nedovyesov to win 6-2 6-3 6-4.

Nole commented ”This is probably the most psychologically and physically difficult match in my career. Kokushkin played so well that he probably deserved to win.”
Serbia will play Great Britain in the quarters.
That will be fun.
