Why Nadal is not winning. UNCLE TONI

Rafael Nadal is definitely struggling to achieve the results he is used to.

The Spanish Legend is ranked no.5, but in the Year to Date rankings he is only no.21! The Spaniard is also unable to win “less important” events on clay such as the ATP250 in Buenos Aires and the ATP500 in Rio and it has been almost 2 years since he is not winning an ATP1000 (Madrid 2014 defeating an injured Nishikori in the final). So … what’s the problem?

Uncle Toni – – > Tennis is faster

According to Uncle Toni, the problem is faster and less tactical “It’s not that you win or lose because of only one reason. I’ve clear in my mind the reasons why Nadal stopped to win like he did before.

Tennis is faster. We try to be more tactical. Now, first two shots are much more important in men’s tennis. Without serving very well, before, Nadal played more aggressive easily. It’s not an excuse, but confidence is lacking in the important moments. In sports like tennis or golf, you miss two shots and your confidence slips. It’s happened to Woods and Ballesteros”

So… what’s next?
