Rafael Nadal triumphs again in Paris!
The Spanish sensation beats Dominic Thiem in 4th sets to win his 12th Roland Garros, 18th slam and 82nd title.
The Match
First set. Nadal won the opening set after recovering from a break-down. In fact, after conceding his serve in the 5th game (2-3), Nadal broke back in the 6th (3-3) and 8th (5-3) game before winning the set 6-3.
The most important moment of the set was when Rafa won 4 consecutive games to change the scoreline from 2-3 to 6-3.
Second set. There was not much difference between them with the exception of 1 break that Dominic Thiem won in the last game (7-5).
Third set. Nadal started the set in the best possible way after breaking Thiem in the 1st game (1-0) before consolidating his lead (4-0). Rafeal managed to increase his lead later on after breaking Thiem in the last game (6-1)
Forth set. Rafa commenced the set strongly to break Thiem in the 2nd game (2-0) before consolidating his break (3-1) and win the set 6-1.
The final score was 6-3 5-7 6-1 6-1.
