Murray wins easy rubber against Japan. DAVIS CUP

Easy stuff for Andy Murray that breezes past world no.87 Taro Daniel in his first match after becoming father. Andy conceded just 5 games in a 90 minutes match (6-1 6-3 6-1).

Murray. It is amazing

Andy had great words about the emotions he had during the last few weeks after the birth of his daughter “The last few weeks have been the best of my life, really special.

It has been tough the last few days being away from her for the first time but it had to happen to some stage, and it is a pleasure to represent my country and be with team-mates that we won with last year.”

In the other match, Kei Nishikori has defeated Evans 6-3 7-5 7-6 (7-3). So, the score is now 1-all.

In day 2 we have the doubles. The line-up should be Jamie Murray and Iglot against Nishioka and Uchiyama, but everything can change.
