Genie Bouchard is finding her way back in the rankings to reach the semifinal n Kuala Lumpur.
The Canadian Beauty hasn’t beaten top players in her run to the last 4, but still this is giving her more confidence. IN the qurters Genie defeated world no. 128 Cagla Buyukakcay 6-1 6-4.

Genie commented “It’s pretty tough here – it’s very humid in Malaysia. Sometimes I was seeing four balls instead of one! But the physio helped me a little bit and I just kept fighting, took it one point at a time and luckily managed to win it in two sets.”
The semi
Genie will play Naomi Broady in the semi. The Brit upset seed no.3 Sabine Lisicki in the quarters 7-6 (4) 1-6 7-5.
This is the first time that Genie and Naomi face each other.
