Naomi Osaka had a rather tormented run at the recent Roland Garros. In fact, the world no.1 won the first 2 matches after recovering from a 1-set-down deficit and then she surrendered in the 3rd round to Katerina Siniakova 6-4 6-2 after playing rather horrible tennis (see stats).

Naomi Osaka about winning the calendar slam

After losing her match, the world no.1 admitted that she was feeling the pressure to comment

“You know, it’s weird, but I think me losing is probably the best thing that could have happened. I think I was overthinking this, like, calendar slam.

For me, this is something that I have wanted to do forever, but I think I have to think about it like, if it was that easy, everyone would have done it.”

Naomi will now get ready for the grass where she will try to have a successful run in Wimbledon.
