Sebastian and Petr Korda created history being the first father-son duo to be rated in the top 20 of the ATP rankings. Sebastian had a terrific start to the grass swing, rising to a career-high ranking of 20.

The 23-year-old then went on to the Queen’s Club tournament where he overcame compatriot Karen Khachanov, Grigor Dimitrov, and Rinky Hijikata to advance to this year’s second grass semifinals. However, Tommy Paul exacted revenge on his countryman by winning in straight sets.

Sebastian accomplished a new professional milestone by rising to a career-high ranking of 20 for the first time, even though he was unable to win any titles. By doing this, he and his father accomplished another milestone, making history as the first father-son team to reach the Top 20 in the ATP rankings.

After winning the Australian Open in 1998, Petr’s ranking rose to a career-high of two. In addition, he won ten titles during his career, advanced to the quarterfinals of every Major, and competed in the 1992 French Open final. Sebastian, on the other hand, advanced to the Australian Open quarterfinals in 2023 and won the Emilia-Romagna Open in 2021.
