After winning his maiden grasscourt title in Halle on Sunday, Jannik Sinner is ready to challenge for the Wimbledon tournament. The Italian claimed he feels more assured on the court as the Grand Slam gets underway next week.
After defeating doubles partner Hubert Hurkacz 7-6(8) 7-6(2) in Germany, the 22-year-old became the eighth player since the ATP rankings were first released in 1973 to win his first tournament as the world’s number one.
Sinner looked more confident after the win and said: “I’m looking forward to it (Wimbledon). Last year I made the semi-finals, and I played some good tennis. Let’s see what’s coming this year. I’m more confident for sure. And on this surface, the grass might be a bit different from here and Wimbledon. But I have one week now to prepare for it, so hopefully it’s going to be a good tournament.”

WWWWWWWWWW Now ranked no.1, Sinner played his last match on the 23rd of June when he overcame world no.7 Hubert Hurkacz 7-6(8) 7-6(2) in the final in Halle to win his 15th career title.
During this season Jannik has managed to achieve a compiled 38-3 win-loss record. The Italian clinched 4 titles in 2024 at the Australian Open, Rotterdam, Miami and Halle.
Sinner has scheduled to compete next at the Wimbledon (Wimbledon). He will start to play the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 1st of July.
