In the first set, Madison started the set in the best possible way with a fast 3-0 lead after she broke Sinikova in the 2nd game at love. However, Siniakova managed to break back (3-2), but that was too late as the American won the set 6-3 after conquering the following 3 games.

),  but eventually the American broke back soon after (1-1) and in the last game before winning 6-4 6-3
in 78 minutes.
