Tennis fans have taken concern with Stefanos Tsitsipas’s perceived regressive views towards women, with many accusing the Greek player of misogyny. Tsitsipas’ most recent social media post, in which he discussed his thoughts on the differences between men and women, has prompted criticism from fans.
Tsitsipas shared a video on Friday on Instagram Stories, emphasizing the key distinctions between the two main genders. The video featured a collage of multiple shots of men and women, with the male being commended for being the family’s breadwinner and head of household.
However, tennis fans on social media thought the images were too primitive and expressed shock that Tsitsipas was still supporting such a sexist belief in the modern era.
The fact that Tsitsipas had openly expressed his opinions in a place where his girlfriend Paula Badosa could see them shocked many more than anyone else.
One fan commented on the video: “Nah like could you imagine telling Paula fucking Badosa this shit.”
Another one wrote: “Whole lot of top male tennis players with some pretty regressive views of women! I’m sure the ATP is gonna get right on that <touches earpiece> ah.”
One fan wrote: “Just when you thought ATP men couldn’t disappoint you more, Stefanos Tsitsipas with the disgusting tradwife recommendation.”
The fact that Tsitsipas shared the video without a second thought infuriated her fans, who expressed fear for Badosa if her partner views women in this way.
