It was Ana Ivanovic to defeat the world no.3 in the Dubai opener 7-6 (2) 6-2 playing a really good match. The pivotal moment of the match was when Simona got too tight when she was 5-3 up in the first set. Eventually Ana won that set at the breaker to sail in the 2nd set.
