Cameron, the son of Sloane Stephens’s husband, Jozy Altidore, from his previous relationship, has enabled her to share her experience of becoming a stepmother. The 2017 US Open champion got engaged to professional soccer player Altidore three years before their 2022 wedding.

After Stephens moved out of Boca Prep International School in Florida, where Altidore was a senior, they parted ways. But after getting back in touch in 2016, the couple’s romance quickly developed. Stephens became Cameron’s stepmother after she wed Altidore.

The former world No. 3 claimed in a recent interview that her desire for additional children arises from her relationship with 9-year-old Cameron. She talked about it and said: “Yes, our son (Cameron) is nine and he’s great and makes me want to have more kids. I always knew I wanted to be a mom and have a big family. I love kids, so for me, becoming a stepmom was a very easy transition.”
