During one of his recent epics at the French Open, Novak Djokovic gave tennis fans around a serious scare by falling to the ground.

After winning a thrilling five-set match against Lorenzo Musetti, the Serbian advanced to the fourth round at Roland Garros. There was then an instant interval before another five-set match, in which Djokovic triumphed over Francisco Cerundolo.

However, Djokovic required a lot of care from his physiotherapist during the game, both on the court when he was lying on the floor and in his chair.

Even though Djokovic was able to secure a match against Casper Ruud in the quarterfinals, his tournament would come to an end as he had to undergo surgery to repair a damaged meniscus in his right knee.

In a brief statement, the former world number one stated that the surgery had gone well and he was working hard to return to court as soon as possible. Djokovic’s most recent update, in which he posted a video of himself performing various training activities, indicates that he was speaking the truth.

The tennis legend is seen in an Instagram update working out on an exercise bike and strengthening his leg in the gym. He captioned: “Progress.”
