18-year-old Taylor Fritz made history after reaching the semifinal in Memphis. Taylor is the youngest American to reach an ATP semifinal since 1989 (Michael Chang won Wembley when he was just 17).
It took 2 hours and 20 minutes for Fritz to beat Benjamin Becker 6-4 5-7 7-6(5). The American used his powerful serve and forehand to get through.
Ranked no.145, Fritz got to the semis starting from the main draw (he received a wild-card)

Fritz. It feels incredible
Taylor commented “It feels incredible. You know it’s a great milestone.I always say this is reassuring to know that I’m doing the right thing and I’m on the right track. But got to just keep doing my own thing and not let all the milestones get in your head or anything like that.”
The semis vs. Berankis
Taylor will play Berankis in the semis. Going for more…
