The Italian tennis federation announced on Friday that Jannik Sinner, the current world number one, will compete in both singles and doubles at the Paris Olympics with Lorenzo Musetti.
The 22-year-old Sinner, who advanced to the French Open semifinals last week, will be playing in an Olympic competition for the first time on Roland Garros’ clay courts.
In 2024, Sinner won three trophies, including his first Grand Slam in Miami, Rotterdam, and the Australian Open. Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori, the runners-up at the French Open, will partner with Sinner and Musetti in doubles play.

Ranked no.1, Sinner played his last match on the 7th of June when he was defeated by world no.2 Carlos Alcaraz 2-6 6-3 3-6 6-4 6-3 in the semifinal of the French Open (draw).
Presently, during this year Sinner owns a compiled 33-3 match record. The Italian conquered 3 titles in 2024 at the Australian Open, Rotterdam and Miami.

Currently the world no.30, Lorenzo played his last match on the 15th of June when he surrendered to world no.95 Matteo Berrettini 6-4 6-0 in the semifinal in Stuttgart (draw).
Currently, during this season Musetti achieved a composed 20-18 match record. Lorenzo Musetti’s best result of the year was getting to the final in the Cagliari Challenger and the Turin Challenger.
Lorenzo Musetti will play the world no.9 Alex De Minaur in the 1st round. Their current record is 1-0 for De Minaur.
