Rafael Nadal has a successful comeback in Buenos Aires after a not so good start of the year. The Spanish Legend was coming from 2 consecutive losses (the worst one was in the Melbourne opener) and he was eager to be back to a better result.
Rafa defeated in the opener his great friend Pico Monaco 6-4 6-4 in 1 hour and 38 minutes.

Rafa commented “I’m happy for the victory. The start was tough, as Juan is a good player and the big humidity here in Argentina made it difficult. I am happy to be through and hope to be ready for tomorrow.”
Next vs. Lorenzi
Rafa will play the quarters against Paolo Lorenzi. Head to head is 1-0 for Rafa that survived Lorenzi in 3 sets in Rome 2011 in their only match.
