In the Australian Open men’s singles final in Melbourne, Jannik Sinner defeated Daniil Medvedev 3-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3, making history as the first Italian to win a Grand Slam championship since 1976.
Sinner left Australia after two exciting weeks of travel, packing his most prized possessions, including his Australian Open trophy, in his carry-on.
Recently, Sinner was spotted bringing his Australian Open trophy to his hometown, where he spent quality time with kids and fans. Everyone was more than happy to welcome Sinner as an Italian superstar.

WWWWWWWWWW Currently ranked no.1, Sinner played his last match on the 7th of June when he was defeated by world no.2 Carlos Alcaraz 2-6 6-3 3-6 6-4 6-3 in the semifinal of the French Open (draw).
Presently, during this year Jannik owns a composed 33-3 win-loss record. The Italian clinched 3 titles in 2024 at the Australian Open, Rotterdam and Miami.
Sinner will play next in Halle (Terra Wortmann Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 17th of June.
